Industry Excellence Centre opening ceremony

At Tuesday, September 15th 2009 at Hotel "Sumarice", in presence of numerous guests and media, opening ceremony of Western Balkans Automotive and Supplier Industry Excellence Centre was held.

Excellence Centre was established at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kragujevac in the framework of EUROCHAMBRES' "Partners for Investment Promotion" programme co-financed by the European Union under CARDS 2005 Regional funding.

Partners on Excellence Centre establishment project were CCI Leipzig and CCI Tirana, while in the Serbian chamber system; the project was realized through the partnership with CCI's Serbia, Valjevo, Uzice, Kraljevo and Krusevac.

Establishment of Excellence Centre at Kragujevac should contribute the development of Western Balkan automotive industry by attracting foreign direct investments, supporting innovations and quality standard implementation.

Chamber of Industry Kragujevac and SPARK, on this occasion have signed the Letter of Intent which significate the readiness for continuing successful collaboration through creation and networking of Correspondent Centres in the Western Balkan countries where SPARK have already established Business Start-Up centers (Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina), as follow-up of the existing project "Establishment of Western Balkans Automotive and Supplier Industry Excellence Centre".
